BEAUTY AND THE BEAST BED AND BREAKFAST AUDITIONS
Join us for auditions for the Barn Lot Theater children’s production of Beauty and the Beast: Bed and Breakfast, to be held on Saturday, January 11, from 2 to 4 PM. This enchanting tale, set in a whimsical world, offers a delightful opportunity for young actors to explore themes of friendship, courage, and transformation.
Audition Details:
Location: Barn Lot Theater Annex Building (formerly the Auction Barn Building), 107 N. Main St., Edmonton.
Audition Format: Participants that are able to read will perform a cold reading from the script. For those who cannot read, they will need to be able to recite their favorite fairy tale. No other preparation is necessary, but enthusiasm and creativity are encouraged.
Alternative Arrangements: If you are unable to attend the scheduled audition, please contact info@barnlottheater.org to make alternative arrangements.
Rehearsals and Performances:
Rehearsals will begin late February or early March, with performances scheduled from March 27 to March 30, 2025.
Anticipate two rehearsals per week, increasing frequency as the production date approaches. Depending on the role cast, actors may not be required to attend all rehearsals. Please bring any known schedule conflicts to auditions.
Parking:
Available in the alley beside the building or at the Metcalfe County government building next door.
Participation Requirements:
This audition is open to young performers through 12th grade who are eager to bring this magical story to life on stage.
Adults may be cast in roles if needed, but preference is given to our young performers. Any volunteer over the age of 18 requires background check.

Henri: Host and reformed beast, married to Belinda (86 lines)
Belinda: Hostess, natural beauty, kind to Henri but not to guests (109 lines)
Bremen: Bellhop, dim but dutiful and kind-hearted (87 lines)

Caroline Porter Cook - 40's Polly's oldest daughter - former head cheerleader, Homecoming Queen, Prom Queen and all that goes with it.
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Jennings - 40's - Caroline's High School best "frenemy." Owner of the Miss Georgia Belle pageantry system.
Donna Jo Martin - 40's - Drama queen, local theatre diva and one time Off-Off-Broadway actor. Married eight times.
Rebecca "Becca" Bailey - 40's - Frumpy mother of four - currently expecting number five (any minute now) ...and soon to be single.

Willum Cubbert: The main character, who is an architect who is kind, smart, and easily taken advantage of
Tansy McGinnis: A smart and successful woman who is struggling with her dream job as a television weather forecaster
Axel Hammond: Willum's best friend, who is a theater critic who is pretentious and sarcastic
Rick Steadman: The titular "nerd", who is oblivious to insults and lacks manners
Warnock Waldgrave: Mr. Waldgrave is an overbearing businessman with eight hotels under his ownership
Celia Waldgrave: Right beside Mr. Waldgrave stands Clelia, his high-strung and put-upon wife.
Thor Waldgrave: Completing the Waldgrave family is Thor, the chaos-inducing son.
FOUR OLD BROADS ON THE HIGH SEAS AUDITIONS
